Story:
Itaru Moriyama is a talented young ceramicist who established his own kiln after gaining extensive experience at a renowned ceramic company in Amakusa, Japan. There, he crafted an impressive 200-250 plates and bowls each day, honing his skills to the point where he could create over 200 identical pieces with his eyes closed.
As time passed, each day felt fleeting, prompting Itaru to pursue his dream of starting his own kiln. He now focuses on creating unique pieces that reflect his artistic vision, using a blend of iron and local soils to infuse his work with a sense of place and nature. Itaru’s dedication to his craft shines through in every piece, making them not just functional but also a celebration of artistry and tradition.
