Born in 1984 in Hiroshima, Miki is a ceramic artist who began her journey at Art College in Kyoto in 2005. After moving to Australia, she drew inspiration from Aboriginal art, which has deeply influenced her work. Miki has participated in Artist in Residence programs in Australia and the U.S., enriching her artistic practice. Since 2015, she has led workshops on the scenic Kunisaki Peninsula in Kyushu, Japan, sharing her passion and techniques. Her artworks evoke emotions and memories, capturing the joy of childhood. Miki is also a wonderful friend who inspires those around her. Together with her husband, Tyokazu, a stencil dye artisan, they create a captivating blend of artistry that resonates with viewers.
