Story:
Miki Oka was born in 1984 in Hiroshima, is an artist whose journey began with pottery at Art College in Kyoto in 2005. After moving to Australia, she developed a profound appreciation for Aboriginal art, which significantly influenced her creative expression. Miki has participated in Artist in Residence programs in both Australia and the United States, enriching her artistic practice and broadening her horizons.
Since 2015, she has been running workshops on the scenic Kunisaki Peninsula in Kyushu, Japan, sharing her passion and techniques with others. Her artworks have a unique ability to evoke emotions and memories, capturing the joy and magic of childhood in each piece.
**Miki collaborates with her husband, Tyokazu, a talented stencil dye artisan, and together they create a captivating world of artistry that resonates deeply with viewers, blending their individual talents into a harmonious celebration of creativity.
